Walsall Police are appealing for help in connect with a raid in which burglars threatened a young woman with a knife as she lay in her bed in a terrifying raid on her home in Blakenall Heath, near Bloxwich.

Police are now releasing CCTV images of two men they want to trace following the offence earlier this year.

The offenders broke into the 25-year-old victim’s house in Newhome Way at around 10.30pm on Tuesday 29 May.

Two of them burst into the woman’s bedroom and threatened her with a knife, asking for money and jewellery, while a third man searched the kitchen.

The trio left taking cash and electrical items, including a 42″ TV, a games console and a computer.

Detective Constable Matt Tromans, from the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Bloxwich, said: “This was a violent attack on a defenceless young woman, which has left her shaken and distressed.

“We have examined CCTV from the local area and identified two men that we would like to speak to who went into the Costcutter shop on Well Lane at around 9.30pm on the same evening.

“Local enquiries have not produced any leads so we are hoping that the public may be able to help us identify these men.

“They were known to have been driving a silver BMW 3 series around the housing estate a few times during the evening and we hope that someone may have seen them.”
