She has been charged in connection with the death of a 42 year old woman, whose body was found in the early hours of yesterday morning (15 July) at the rear of a house in Hunter Crescent, Leamore, Walsall.

The victim has been named as Wendy Thorpe, aged 42. A forensic postmortem undertaken this morning has revealed that she died as a result of head injuries.

The house, garden and a section of Wyrley & Essington Canal towpath at the rear of the semi-detached former Council house were cordoned off by police for forensic purposes after police were called to the crime scene at 12.40am.

Neighbours of the victim have been expressing their shock at the crime  today, and it has been reported that two women had lived at the house for approximately two years.
